Suspected drug trafficking operation busted by PAPS
A collection of drugs and trafficking materials are now in police custody after several arrests and search of a Prince Albert home.
On Jan. 17, members of the emergency response team arrested five people suspected of trafficking cocaine. Members of the crime reduction team searched a residence on the 500 block of Fifth Street East where they located a loaded flock 9mm pistol, $9,510 cash, 290 grams of soft cocaine, 255 grams of crack cocaine, three cellphones, two scales and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Mofe Etchie, 19, of Kitchener and Javon Minott, 21, of Surrey, are facing 23 charges related to trafficking a controlled substance. Both men also face several firearms offences.
Troy Natewayes, 39, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and Sarah Nelson, 38, was charged with breaching a conditional sentence order. One person was released without charges.
