Man in serious condition after vehicle collision

STARS flew a man to hospital in serious condition this past weekend after he was hit by a vehicle while standing in front of the Beaver Hotel in North Battleford.
Battlefords RCMP received a report of a collision on Jan. 17, 2025, just before 8 p.m., involving a pedestrian at the intersection of 11th Avenue and 100th Street in North Battleford.
As seen in video footage acquired by the Beaver Hotel, a sedan was driving south bound in the right lane of 100th Street and while approaching the intersection, appeared to hit a patch of ice and swerved off to left, going across three lanes, colliding with a parked vehicle in front of the hotel before hitting the man into the exterior of the building.
Officers and medical responded within minutes to the accident and according to family members via social media, the man sustained serious injuries to his right leg as well as a shattered pelvis.
