Jan 23, 2025 | 2:50 PM

For the third time in two months, a taxi driver in Prince Albert has been injured and robbed by passengers.

Prince Albert Police were called at 1:30 am Thursday morning to the 500 Block of 28th Street East and told a cab driver had been stabbed.

The responding officers found the man with non life-threatening injuries, who was then taken to hospital by paramedics.

Video surveillance showed two men and a woman got into the taxi and at the end of the ride, one of the men struck the driver with the knife and robbed him.

Officers called in the canine unit, which led them to 28th Street East and 4th Ave. East and found a 31-year-old man and the 30-year-old woman. Both were arrested and the man has been charged with obstructing police.

While responding to a different call shortly after 9 am, officers found the second man and arrested him.

That 31-year-old suspect was charged with robbery, aggravated assault and being disguised with intent.

He will appear in court Friday morning.

In December, another taxi driver was stabbed in a similar incident when two men got in his cab, stabbed him and took his money.
