Melfort Fire Department kept busy on Friday

Fire crews in Melfort had no time to relax on Friday, with three separate calls within seven hours.

The first call was the collision on Highway 41, just west of the 368 turnoff at around 12:30 p.m..

Five hours later, with crews still at the scene of the crash, they were called to a commercial alarm ringing in Melfort that turned out to be a false alarm.

About a half-hour later, the fire department was called to a vehicle fire in Melfort. A third crew was dispatched to put out the blaze.
