The Humboldt Broncos have committed a new player for the 2025/26 SJHL season.

Gabriel Kaminski has announced his commitment to the Broncos, with plans to play later this year.

The 17-year-old is currently suiting up for the North Shore Warriors U18 Prep Team in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League, where he has 20 points (seven goals and 13 assists) in 28 games.

During his time there, Kaminski has also gotten a call-up to a Junior B club (Grandview Steelers) in the Pacific Junior Hockey League, notching his first career junior goal in two games.

“Gabriel has a high compete level and high hockey IQ and is a player that can play up and down the lineup,” said Broncos’ Head Coach and GM, Brayden Klimosko. “He’s very dependable which I love as a coach, and his foot speed is something I noticed on film immediately from the first time watching him and that’s something you need to play at our level.”

A Langley native, Kaminski has experience as a leader and being on a championship team, serving as the assistant captain for the U15 Sharpshooter Academy Prep Team in the 2021/22 season and winning a league title with the Burnaby Winter Club U17 Prep Team during the 2023/24 campaign.

During the 2007-born forward’s time with Sharpshooter Academy, he collected 31 points in 46 games over the span of two seasons, while in Burnaby, he registered 80 points in 72 games over two years time.

“The Humboldt Broncos and the City of Humboldt would like to welcome Gabriel and his family to the organization and community,” concluded a press release from the Humboldt Broncos.
