Second arrest made in Wenzel murder case

Prince Albert police have made a second arrest in connection to last year’s murder of Norman Wenzel.

Rylan Hansen, 22, made his first court appearance Thursday morning and was remanded to Feb. 6.

On Canada Day, police were called to a property on Kemp Crescent and found Wenzel suffering from serious injuries. He was taken to hospital and later died.

Also charged in the case is Quentin Gardiner who was recently committed for trial.

Both men are charged with first degree murder.

Neighbours who spoke to paNOW said the home on Kemp Crescent has been a source of continuous problems and had been visited by police in the past.
