Call for Nominations for the Women’s Hall of Fame

Feb 3, 2025 | 11:44 AM

The Prince Albert Council of Women is accepting nominations for the 2025 Women’s Hall of Fame.

The nominee’s work must be of benefit to the Prince Albert Community, but her contributions may have had an impact on the wider community – locally, provincially, nationally or internationally. The nominee will have contributed to the community in more than one area of endeavour and has a varied range of contributions.

Selection will depend primarily on the person’s achievements and length of service in a volunteer role, or workplace accomplishments and/or demonstrated leadership.

The nominee does not have to be involved in the work of the Prince Albert Council of Women.

As well, anyone can make a nomination and the nominator does not have to be involved or associated with the Prince Albert Council of Women.

You do not have to be female to be a nominator. “We have so many dedicated and compassionate women in and around Prince Albert who work tirelessly in this community. We all benefit from their accomplishments and I am pleased to see this work acknowledged each year by the Women’s Council.”, said Chrissy Halliday, President of the Prince Albert Council of Women.

Each year, a local woman is honoured by inducting her into the Prince Albert Women’s Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony always takes place in March in honour of International Women’s Day. Halliday encourages everyone to nominate a deserving woman.

The Council advocates on behalf of women and children and is affiliated with the National Council of Women of Canada and the International Council of Women.

The nomination deadline is February 13, 2025.

To receive a nomination form or for more information, please email rose.r@sasktel.net or go to our facebook page or call/text 306 961-8410.
