Witnesses thwart attempted robbery, woman charged

In connection to a violent incident that happened in Prince Albert Saturday night, in which witnesses stepped in to assist the victim, a 46-year-old woman has been charged with attempted robbery, assault with a weapon, and breaching an undertaking.

According to information provided by police, she allegedly entered the victim’s car and threatened them with a knife.

At approximately 10:30 p.m. police were called to a business in the 800 block of Fifth Street East. The victim was found physically unharmed.

Through their investigation, officers learned the female suspect demanded money; and when asked to leave, responded by brandishing multiple knives.

Multiple witnesses intervened and a short physical altercation ensued before the suspect fled the scene on foot.

Shortly after, officers located the suspect in the 800 block of Fourth Street East where she was arrested without further incident. Elisa Daniels was scheduled to appear Tuesday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court.
