Theft of truck in Melfort under investigation

UPDATE: Melfort RCMP have recovered the stolen green truck. They continue to look for the blue suspect truck. Anyone with information can call 310-RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Melfort RCMP are investigating the theft of a truck stolen from outside a business on Broadway Ave. S.

Police were called about the incident on Friday, and their investigation determined a blue truck approached the business at about 11 p.m. on Thursday.

A green truck that was parked there was stolen, and a Wednesday RCMP update said it has since been recovered.

RCMP are asking the public to report any suspicious activity observed in the Broadway Ave. S. area late April 3, subsequent sightings of the suspect’s truck, or information about the theft.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a blue Chevrolet or Dodge truck.

Anyone with information can contact 310-RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
