Three men charged following armed robbery in North Battleford

Three men from Saskatoon are facing weapons related charges after robbing a local North Battleford business last weekend.

According to police, employees were threatened at gunpoint, and one was assaulted and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Among the items stolen were electronics, cash and financial cards before the suspects drove down Highway 16. The group was arrested near the Borden Bridge during a traffic stop where officers also found a loaded handgun.

The three men, two of whom are 41 and the other 43, have each been charged with one count of pointing a firearm, one count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, one count of robbery with firearm, two counts of assault with weapon, one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, one count of possession of a firearm knowing possession is unauthorized, one count of possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition, one count of careless use of a firearm, one count, carry concealed weapon, one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, one count of forcible confinement, one count, utter threats and one count, commit mischief under $5,000.
