Prince Albert police investigate stabbing in Cornerstone shopping area

A man who was stabbed Friday afternoon in Prince Albert’s Cornerstone shopping area, is expected to recover.

That’s according to information released by the Prince Albert Police Service on Monday.

At approximately 3 p.m., police were called to a business in the 800 block of 15th Street East. The initial information stated a man had been stabbed in the parking lot area.

Officers arrived on scene and quickly located the victim with injuries consistent with a stabbing. Parkland Ambulance arrived on scene shortly after and treated and transported him to hospital. The injuries were later determined to be non-life-threatening.

The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival and attempts to locate were unsuccessful.

The Prince Albert Police Service is continuing to investigate and anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
