Nipawin Fire Department responds to vehicle fire

A vehicle near Nipawin has been destroyed by fire.

The Nipawin Fire Department were called to the scene just south of the bridge Monday afternoon.

The car was fully engulfed in flames by the time crews arrived, and portable fire extinguishers were unable to make a difference.

The bridge was temporarily closed while crews battled the car fire and a grassfire that also ignited.

The occupants of the vehicle were unharmed.
