The Nipawin Region Health Foundation (NRHF) has purchased a new ECG machine with a mobile stand.

The purchase was made possible “thanks to the generous support of the Cherry Ridge Community,” according to a post on the foundation’s social media site.

The machine has several benefits, according to the NRHF. They include a high-quality ECG recording that is clear and accurate. The touchscreen is described as more efficient, and the foundation also touted its mobility and convenience. The ECG is “ideal for limited spaces or immobile patients.”

The new machine also allows for faster and more accurate data management and is also designed to help detect conditions earlier.

“This advanced technology will help improve the speed and accuracy of cardiac assessments for patients across our region – ensuring better care, closer to home,” the news release stated.

The cost of the ECG machine is listed as $23,000.

Thanks to the Cherry Ridge Community donation, the NRHF was also able to purchase a new ventilator and a blanket and fluid warmer.

“A heartfelt THANK YOU to Cherry Ridge for making this possible! Your community spirit is truly saving lives,” the statement read.
