After starting the series with two close losses in Medicine Hat and a third loss on home ice, the Prince Albert Raiders were looking to bounce back in game four against the Tigers. The Raiders started well, but the relentless attack of the Tigers would finish the game 3-0 and give the Tigers a birth in round three.

The two teams traded chances back and forth to start the game with each team getting a powerplay in the first, but neither team could score.

The Raiders had two posts in the period, one off of a shot from Brayden Dube on the rush, and the other from Daxon Rudolph through traffic at the top of the slot. Despite being outshot in the first, the Raiders were not outchanced.

After 1: Raiders 0 – 0 Tigers, shots 17-6 Tigers

At the 4:03 mark, the Tigers would score. With Justice Christensen in the box after a clearing attempt snuck over the glass, the Raiders started the kill well for the first minute, but the Tigers would work the puck to Tanner Molendyk off a faceoff and he’d fire through traffic to open the scoring.

Then at the 10:40 mark, the Tigers scored again. This time on the rush, Oasiz Wiesblatt would cut down the right wall and he found a sliver of room over the shoulder of Max Hildebrand to tuck home his 10th of the playoffs.

After 2: Raiders 0 – 2 Tigers, shots 27-6 Tigers, 34-12 Tigers overall

Any hope the Raiders had going into the third period, historically their best period this season, was quickly squashed when Hunter St. Martin scored just 59 seconds into the period. He’d pressure the Raiders defence at the blueline and poke the puck past for a partial breakaway, and rip a wrist shot from the middle of the slot to score.

From there, the two teams battled hard. The Raiders would pull Max Hildebrand with about three minutes left in an effort to tie the game, but a few penalties going into the final minute would make it 4-on-4 and the Raiders would watch the seconds tick down on the end of their season.

FINAL: Raiders 0 – 3 Tigers, shots 13-6 Tigers, 57-18 Tigers overall

With the loss, the Raiders season ends in round two of the playoffs. Through 11 games in the playoffs, both Aiden Oiring and Lukas Dragicevic finished with 6G-8A-14P to lead the team.

Max Hildebrand put up 54 saves on 57 shots on the night, good for a 0.947 save percentage on the night. Through the playoffs, his save percentage stayed at 0.919.
