Pedestrian dies on Highway 11

One person was killed in an incident at the intersection of Highways 11 and 2 north of Prince Albert yesterday evening.

Parkland Ambulance confirmed they responded to a call of a vehicle versus pedestrian at 9:16 on April 20.

The person, identified as a female by relatives on social media, was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

According to a statement provided by Saskatchewan RCMP, they received multiple reports from members of the public of a person in the middle of Highway 11, southbound lane. A subsequent call from the public advised a pedestrian was struck by a traveling SUV.

The pedestrian, identified as a 35-year-old woman from Patuanak, was declared deceased at the scene.

The 65-year-old female driver and an adult female passenger of the SUV, from Saskatoon, did not report any injuries to police.

Saskatchewan RCMP Collision reconstruction continues to investigate.
