Golf season is here

Several local golf courses close to opening as warmer weather arrives

A welcome sight for golfers in the northeast as courses are starting to stir back to life.

The Melfort Golf & Country Club has not solidified an opening date yet, but general manager Kevin Ryhorchuk said they will update people via social media when the decision is made. He expected that it could be as soon as next weekend.

The Tisdale Riverside Golf Club said their clubhouse and range will open Monday, April 28, with the course expected to be fully open May 6 at 12 p.m.

The Humboldt Golf Club’s driving range is now open, and they have not yet determined a date for a full course opening for the season.

In Nipawin, the Evergreen Golf Course in Nipawin’s range is open from 12 pm to 7 pm Friday, April 25. Head pro Derrick Tallon told northeastNOW the course opening date has not yet been set.
