Local golf courses are open and ready for the season

With the grass getting green and the sun shining bright, golf courses in the local area are open and ready for golfers to hit the fairway.

Jackfish Lodge Golf Course

Jackfish Lodge Golf Course was the first to tee off as they had their opening weekend from April 18 to 20, but were closed the following week. They officially opened full-time last Friday, April 25th for the whole season.

General Manager Kyle Kellgreen said the course is in one of the best conditions it has ever been.

“Opening weekend was great, and the course is in absolutely fantastic shape. We are really looking forward to the season, and we also had a bunch of upgrades for the hotel as well including new flooring and a whole new water system,” he said.

The hotel and restaurant are set to open just before May long weekend.

The first Women’s night will be Thursday, May 22 and the first Men’s night will be on Thursday, May 29.

North Battleford Golf and Country Club

The North Battleford Golf and Country Club opened their course this past Friday, April 25.

According to their social media, the course is in great condition and has been busy throughout the initial week of opening.

The first big event for the club is the Spring Scramble this weekend, and the last day to register is Thursday, May 1.

Rustic Nine Par 3 Golf Course

Rustic Nine Par 3 Golf Course will be opening for the season this Friday, May 2.

Apart from golfing, they will also be starting their Loft Session concerts on May 10th, with the first performer being Von Bieker.
