May 5 deadline to appeal property assessments
Property owners in the city have until next Monday to appeal their 2025 property assessments.
In a notice issued Friday, the city said residents wishing to challenge their assessment or property classification must file a notice of appeal with the city assessor by 4 p.m. and appeal forms are available at City Hall.
The city noted not all property owners receive a Notice of Assessment each year. Full revaluations occur every four years, with the most recent in 2021 and the next scheduled for 2025. In the years between, only properties that have undergone changes—such as construction, demolition or a change in use—are reassessed and receive an updated notice.
Property owners seeking more information can visit the Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency (SAMA) website and view detailed records by creating a free account through SAMAView.
