Fond du Lac RCMP reported that they have located and arrested Richard McDonald at a residence in the community.

He is scheduled to appear in Fond du Lac Provincial Court on Monday.

Fond Du Lac RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who escaped lawful custody.

In a release, police said that 39-year-old Richard McDonald escaped while being held at the local detachment. He was remanded into custody on Friday for charges including assault, resisting arrest and mischief.

RCMP said he was last seen on Main Road in the area of the Fond Duc Lac RCMP Detachment at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, fleeing on foot travelling south.

McDonald is described as approximately 5’10” and 209 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt and black sweatpants with white lettering. He was not wearing any shoes.

Due to cold temperatures in Fond Du Lac, officers are concerned for his well-being.
