Fire Ban Issued for Areas North of the North Saskatchewan River within city limits
Effective Monday, at 4 p.m., a fire ban will take effect for all areas north of the North Saskatchewan River within the City of Prince Albert.
Based on current and forecasted conditions from the Fire Weather Index for the grassland and forest fringe areas, this fire ban applies to Little Red River Park, Hazeldell, Nordale, and all properties east of Little Red River Park to the City Limits at the Pulp Haul Road
During this ban, no open fires are permitted in these areas. However, for cooking and heating purposes, the following are allowed: self-contained heating devices, gas barbecues, and propane fire pits.
The fire ban does not affect recreational use of approved fire pits in designated areas south of the river, such as Kinsmen Park.
