May 5, 2025 | 9:01 AM

For the fourth time in the last 10 days, the Melfort Mustangs have announced a commitment of a future player.

Their newest commit is forward Asher Watson.

Watson, a 2007-born Avonlea, Sask. product, has spent the last five years with Prairie Hockey Academy.

This year, the six-foot-three, 174-pound, 17-year-old played with their U18 Prep team, registering 18 points in 35 games. He later added two points in four playoff contests.

Watson is committed to the Mustangs for the 2025/26 season.

He joins Jake Demone, Drew Christian, and Carter Bilous as the most recent Melfort commits.

The Stangs are off to the Centennial Cup on Tuesday, where they will face host Calgary to begin their tournament on Thursday.
