Fire bans

More fire bans issued in northeast, east-central Sask.

More local communities have issued fire bans due to the dry, warm, and windy conditions.

Both the Town and the Rural Municipality (RM) of Kinistino have issued fire bans.

This comes after a fire at nearby James Smith Cree Nation claimed three houses and their church bell tower.

The latest to issue fire bans are the RM of Bjorkdale, the RM of Invergordon, and Struthers Lake.

Many other RMs and towns across the province have issued fire bans with the fire risk listed as extreme in most areas.
