Not guilty plea entered in Buckland shooting case

A man alleged responsible for a shooting incident in the Rural Municipality of Buckland, will face trial.

Curtis Caron’s attendance was waived when his matter was discussed Tuesday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court.

His lawyer entered a not guilty plea to discharging a firearm with intent and a trial date was scheduled for Sept. 4.

Im the early evening hours of March 16, 2025, Prince Albert RCMP received a report of a firearm-related injury.

The victim was located and transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening in nature.

Through their investigation, police learned an altercation had occurred between a small group of people.

Caron, 43, was arrested on March 20 and made his first court appearance the following day.
