Saskatchewan RCMP are still looking to capture a 26-year-old man who’s on the run after he escaped the Besnard Lake Correctional Centre on April 14.

Kobe Kiseyinewakup has now been charged with escaping lawful custody and being unlawfully at large.

Loon Lake RCMP have had the missing prisoner in their sights on two occasions, but he fled in a vehicle both times.

They spotted him on April 26 in Loon Lake and again on May 7 on Island Lake First Nation, and in either instance, officers activated their emergency lights and tried to stop the vehicle he was in, and he fled both times. Kiseyinewakup is also charged with two counts of flight from a peace officer for those incidents.

He is believed to be in Pierceland or Loon Lake and may be driving a black Dodge Charger with dark-tinted windows.

Kiseyinewakup was described as 5’6 and 135 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who spots Kiseyinewakup, or has information about where he may be located, is asked to contact the Pinehouse RCMP detachment or make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers.

People are advised not to approach him and to call police as soon as they see him.
