A 36-year-old man from Prince Albert has been charged in connection to a murder investigation in Estevan.

Evan Dennis Isbister will make his first appearance in Estevan Provincial Court on Monday.

On May 10, at approximately 8:46 p.m, police were dispatched to a residence in the 1400 Block of First Street, in Estevan. The caller reported that there was an assault taking place upon an adult person.

When police arrived they located three adult males in the residence. Two of the males were arrested without incident and transported to the Estevan Police Service. EMS responded to the scene to care for the 60-year-old victim and transported him to a local hospital for treatment. He succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

One of the arrested males was cleared of any wrongdoing and was subsequently released from custody. The second male was Isbister.

Police, who continue to investigate, indicated the victim and the accused were known to each other.
