New strategic plan sets priorities for North Battleford’s future
North Battleford has adopted a new four-year strategic plan, which City Manager Randy Patrick says sets out a clear vision of growth, sustainability and civic pride.
“The strategic plan is Council’s primary document, and says what this council is going to do and how it’s different from previous council, and what it really wants to achieve and how it wants to achieve it,” Patrick told council Monday night.
The 2025–2029 Strategic Plan outlines four pillars: community wellbeing, infrastructure renewal, economic development, and governance. Patrick described it as a tool to help council and administration determine where resources are most effectively used.
“One of the things it tries to do is create a vision, a fair vision of what the city’s future is and a mission statement of the plan of the city’s purpose, which creates multi year goals and specific objectives to achieve that vision,” he said.
