Experience the stunning beauty of Meadow Lake Provincial Park, Saskatchewan’s premier backcountry hiking destination, on National Trails Day, June 7!

Join Sask Parks for a day of exploration and learning.

Then, lace up your hiking boots for a guided interpretive hike on Dennis Creek Trail (11.4 km). You’ll pick up backcountry skills from our experienced guides as they teach you about the park’s unique flora and fauna. Meet back at the trailhead for a social and lunch provided by Flotten Lake Adventures. The fun doesn’t end when the trail does!
This event is suitable for ages 12+.

Agenda:
10 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. – Welcome and Hiking Essentials
10:45 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. – Guided Interpretive hike
2:30 p.m. – 3 p.m. – Social catered by Flotten Lake Adventures

This event is free with a valid Park Entry Permit.

Backcountry sites are available on the trail at BT-8 and must be reserved online (parks.saskatchewan.ca). Frontcountry camping is available at Greig and Kimball Lakes (reservable online) or Matheson, Mistohay and Vivan Lakes (first-come, first-served).

Indoor accommodations are available at the following in-park businesses: Flotten Lake Adventure Resort, Lake Time Camping Rentals, and Waters Edge Eco Lodge (15% off for those attending the event).
