City encouraging residents to go digital ahead of possible postal strike

The City of North Battleford is encouraging all utility customers to sign up for e-billing in preparation for a possible Canada Post strike, which will possibly begin on May 22, 2025. E-billing ensures you receive your utility bills without interruption and is available free of charge. You can register online at the City of North Battleford Website.

To help customers stay on top of payments, the City also offers free text message reminders for outstanding balances and due dates, reducing the risk of service disconnections. Please note that penalties for late payments will still apply during the strike.

If you’re unsure of your current balance, you may call or visit City Hall during regular business hours for assistance. Payments can be made in person at City Hall (cash, cheque, debit, or money order) or online using a credit card.

When delivering cheques by hand, make them payable to “City of North Battleford.”

For vendors and contractors, the City asks that they send all invoices electronically to accountspayable@cityofnb.ca.

During the postal disruption, the City will only issue Electronic Fund Transfers (EFTs). If you expect a payment from the City, contact the Finance Department to provide your banking details.
