City of North Battleford sends out property tax notices

May 16, 2025 | 2:42 PM

If you’re a property owner in North Battleford, keep an eye on your mailbox, your 2025 property tax notice should be arriving soon.

This year, the City’s Finance Department sent out tax notices earlier than usual, due to the potential Canada Post strike that is expected to begin on May 22.

Even though the notices are arriving a bit early, there’s no change to the due date. Property taxes are still due by June 30, 2025. If payment isn’t received by then, late penalties will start applying on July 1.

To make managing payments easier, the city is reminding residents about its Tax Installment Payment Plan (TIPPS). This program lets you break your annual tax bill into equal monthly payments, starting from when you sign up through to December.

Already on TIPPS? Some property owners may see an adjustment in their monthly payments to reflect this year’s total tax amount. If that applies to you, a letter with your updated payment schedule covering June through December 2025 has already been sent out. If you haven’t received it by Wednesday, May 21, City Hall encourages you to get in contact with them.

Options to pay your property taxes are:

  • Online (credit card or Visa/Mastercard debit)
  • In person at City Hall (cheque, debit, or cash)
  • Through your bank
  • By dropping your payment in the secure drop box at City Hall

If your tax notice hasn’t arrived by May 22, or if you have any questions, contact the City’s Tax Clerk at 306-445-1706 or by email at taxes@cityofnb.ca.

And don’t forget, you can stay up to date on important City announcements by signing up for Voyent Alert!, North Battleford’s official notification system.
