Tom Harrison wins third term on Meadow Lake council in byelection

Tom Harrison has been elected to Meadow Lake city council following a byelection held Wednesday at the Alliance Church.
Harrison received 91 votes, ahead of Dwayne Mysko with 75 and Anne Duriez with 30, according to official results released by the returning officer. This will mark his third term serving in the council chamber.
The byelection was held to fill a vacant seat left by Mike Ferguson, who resigned in late January for what the city described as a personal reason. Ferguson had been serving his first term on council.
A total of 197 ballots were cast. One ballot was rejected, and another was spoiled. No ballots were formally objected to during the count.
