May 20, 2025 | 7:23 AM

Parkland Ambulance is confirming paramedics who responded to an early morning crash on Highway 11 south of MacDowall found a person deceased.

RCMP further confirmed that the deceased man had injuries that were consistent with being struck by a vehicle. He was found just south of the turn-off to MacDowall.

His name is not being released since he has not yet been formally identified.

Investigators said that the incident happened in the southbound lanes of the highway.

The initial call for help was received at 2:07 a.m.

RCMP has put the investigation into the hands of the General Investigative Section (GIS) and they are trying to find the vehicle involved in the collision.

They think it was a black Jeep which likely now has front end damage.

Anyone that has dashcam or surveillance footage of Highway 11 between midnight and 2:15 am is asked to report it to the police.

They also would like to talk to anyone who was travelling in the area at the time or might have information about the black Jeep.

Footage and information can be reported to GIS by dialling 310-RCMP. Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
