
Teenage girl charged after fatal hit-and-run near MacDowall
In connection to a fatal crash this week near MacDowall involving a pedestrian, a teenage girl is now facing a charge of failing to stop after an accident causing death.
The girl, who can’t be identified as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is scheduled to appear at Prince Albert Provincial Court on June 18.
On May 20, shortly after 2 a.m., a man was struck and killed along the southbound lanes of Highway 11. The name and age of the deceased have not been released, but RCMP confirmed he has been identified and is not a Canadian citizen.
Efforts are now being made to contact next of kin.
