P.A. police investigate shooting in West Flat

An area in the West Flat neighbourhood of Prince Albert was closed to the public for a portion of the morning as the Prince Albert Police Service Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Section executed a search warrant.

It took place at a home in the 900 Block of 17th Street West. Police were investigating a shooting that took place there. No other details, including any potential injuries, were released.

Police are no longer on scene and members of the public are no longer being asked to avoid the area.

The police service said an update will be provided when available, as the investigation is ongoing.
