Prince Albert Police investigating after stolen car rams cruiser
The Prince Albert Police Service is investigating an incident in which a stolen car rammed into a patrol cruiser on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers were first called to the 2900 block of 2nd Avenue West at around 3:50 p.m. for a report of a vehicle theft. The suspect had already fled the scene when officers arrived.
A short time later, the vehicle was located in an alley in the 800 block of 14th Street West, and when police attempted to box in the car, the suspect began to drive and rammed a patrol vehicle, striking two fences in the process before continuing eastbound.
Officers pursued the vehicle until they got to 15th Street West at which point it began to travel at a high rate of speed. The pursuit was ended to ensure public safety.
