Ramsey Bay ordered to evacuate

An ordered evacuation has been declared for Ramsey Bay Subdivision near Weyakwin.
It was issued by Northern Municipal Services on Friday at 4 p.m. due to a wildfire that is threatening the access to and from the community. The wildfire is fast-moving, and individuals in the subdivision must start evacuation immediately.
Residents are to meet at the muster point at the gravel pit south of the subdivision, where they will be escorted to Highway 2 through heavy smoke.
Residents are asked to take their pets with them, as well as any other important items.
