An unnerving update from the Village of Denare Beach in northeast Saskatchewan.
The community had already been evacuated due to the nearby WOLF wildfire.
An update from the Village Monday afternoon brought harrowing news.
“Due to intense wind conditions and the growth of the WOLF fire, all remaining essential staff, volunteer fire depts and additional help have evacuated the Village of Denare Beach,” the update read. “Their safety is of the utmost importance at this time. We will provide further updates when it is possible to do so.”
