
Wanted man arrested after false name; suspected fentanyl seized in North Battleford
A 30-year-old man from Saskatoon is facing a number of charges after a drug bust in North Battleford involving suspected fentanyl.
On May 30, around 12:10 p.m., Battlefords RCMP responded to a disturbance on 100th Street and arrested a man who initially provided a false name.
Officers later confirmed his identity and discovered he was wanted on warrants. During the arrest, police seized approximately 30 grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl, along with drug trafficking paraphernalia. The substance has been sent to Health Canada for testing.
The man is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and obstructing a peace officer. He appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on June 2.
