Pinehouse RCMP investigating case of arson

Pinehouse RCMP are investigating a report of arson.

A media release states on June 8 police received a report of an arson in the Northern Village of Pinehouse.

An investigation determined that some time between the evening of June 7 and the morning of June 8, an unknown individual or individuals discharged a firearm at an excavator parked at the landfill along Highway 914.

The excavator was then set on fire and was significantly damaged.

Pinehouse RCMP continue to investigate. Anyone with information, or who saw suspicious activity near the landfill late on June 7 or early on June 8, is asked to call Pinehouse RCMP by dialling 310-RCMP. Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
