Road closures, parking limits continue on 110th Street as work progresses

Jun 12, 2025 | 3:57 PM

Drivers navigating 110th Street in North Battleford can expect continued road closures and limited driveway access as underground infrastructure work advances through the city’s 2025 Underground Pipe and Asphalt Replacement (UPAR) program.

Construction crews have now passed the 6th Avenue intersection and are expected to reach 7th Avenue this week, with 8th Avenue to follow next week. The section from Pioneer Avenue to 6th Avenue remains closed as work continues.

Jaime Garcia, UPAR project manager and engineer-in-training with the city, said some homeowners may not be able to access their driveways, and on-street parking is restricted in several areas. A full map of parking allowances is posted on the city’s website.

“They can access that if they want to make sure they’re parking in the right place,” he noted.

Crews have already replaced 270 metres of aging water and sewer lines with PVC piping, and road base installation is expected to begin by next week. The project is still on schedule for completion by the end of summer.

Garbage pickup and mail delivery will continue during the work, though some parcel deliveries may require on-site coordination with contractors.

For further details or updates, residents can visit cityofnb.ca/upar, call City Hall, or contact Garcis at 306-441-0359. The updates were shared June 10 during the second city’s UPAR information session.
