Jun 14, 2025 | 3:52 PM

Members of the Prince Albert Police Service were on scene of a sudden death near P.A.’s SaskPolytech campus on Saturday.

Officers were called to the scene at around 8:10 a.m. by Parkland Ambulance after a man was found dead in some bushes near 15th Avenue East and 15th Street East.

A deceased 49-year-old man was found at the scene, and members of the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service and Prince Albert Police Service Forensic Identification Section deemed the death non-criminal.

The man was found near the same spot where 30-year-old Dakota Settee was found dead last month. Her death is being investigated as the city’s second homicide of the year.

Despite the close proximity, the incidents are not believed to be related.

Next of kin has been notified in the man’s death, and no further information will be released in relation to this incident.
