North Battleford agricultural hub to receive Co-op funding for upgrades
North Battleford’s agricultural hub is one of 14 community projects across Western Canada selected for funding through Federated Co-operatives Limited’s (FCL) 2025 Co-op Community Spaces program.
The initiative will share in $1 million in grants being distributed to support infrastructure that enhances recreation, environmental conservation and urban agriculture. Projects were chosen through what FCL described as a “competitive application process.”
The North Battleford Co-op Community Agricultural Hub is one of five Saskatchewan recipients. The funding will be used to upgrade key features of the site, including the midway, concession area, main building and grandstand. Grants range from $25,000 to $150,000.
“Our Community Spaces program is more than just an investment in infrastructure – it’s a commitment to the people and places that help build sustainable communities together,” said Heather Ryan, CEO of FCL. “We’re proud to support these initiatives and witness the lasting impacts they will have in their communities for years to come.”
