RCMP renew search for woman missing since 2018 along North Sask. River
RCMP are conducting a large-scale search of the North Saskatchewan River this week as part of the ongoing investigation into the 2018 disappearance of Ashley Morin, believed to be a homicide victim.
Morin, 31, was last seen in North Battleford in mid-July 2018. Police say the latest search effort involves officers from the Underwater Recovery Team, Historical Case Unit, Search and Rescue, and the local detachment.
“Searching the river is another step in our investigation to find out what happened to Ashley and hold the person, or persons, who took Ashley away from her family accountable,” Supt. Josh Graham, officer in charge of RCMP’s Major Crimes Branch, said in a release Monday.
