Jun 17, 2025 | 4:20 PM

Two men, ages 48 and 28, face charges after a violent altercation last Friday at a Prince Albert residence.

At approximately 4:50 p.m., police were called to the 1500 block of 14 Ave. W. for a report of a stabbing. While responding, officers learned the victim had already gone to the Victoria Hospital.

Upon arrival at the hospital, officers then located a 28-year-old man and two youths suffering from the effects of bear spray. All of them received further care and the stabbing victim was already receiving medical care.

Through their investigation, officers learned the stabbing victim and the 28-year-old man entered the residence but left shortly after. Upon leaving, a male allegedly assaulted one of the men with a knife. At that time, the 28-year-old allegedly discharged bear spray at the man with the knife.

The 28-year-old was then detained at the hospital and the bear spray was seized from the vehicle. Other officers attending the original scene located a 48-year-old man matching the description of the stabbing suspect. He was arrested without further incident.

The older of the accused has been charged with aggravated assault. The other man has been charged with assault and possession of a weapon. Both men are in custody and have pending court dates this week.
