‘You killed my grandson’: Charges laid in Prince Albert murder case

Jun 18, 2025 | 11:15 AM

Emotions were raw in a Prince Albert courtroom on Wednesday when two men accused of murder appeared before a judge.

Darrenson Head, 19, and Hayden Joseyounen, 21, are jointly charged in the death of Darren Laviolette Jr. last September.

Both were arrested on June 17. Head was located in Melfort and Joseyounen was found at a residence in Prince Albert.

Multiple members of the victim’s family were present in the gallery and at the conclusion of the short hearing, one man stood and shouted at the prisoner’s box, “[redacted] little punk…..you killed my grandson.”

He walked out of the courtroom soon after.
