Guilty pleas in Fuel Stop brawl

Jun 19, 2025 | 5:39 PM

Three people have entered guilty pleas in connection with a fight at the Fuel Stop bar last year.

Dustin Shier, age 28, Terrance Shier, 50, and Shantelle Bonik (Fizzard) all had their previous not guilty pleas expunged and new guilty pleas entered in Prince Albert Provincial Court on June 19.

The guilty pleas are to assault causing bodily harm along with some charges that were reduced assault.

The charges came from a brawl incident outside of the Fuel Stop in April of 2024. Video shared to social media shows multiple suspects beating and kicking bar staff. Ambulances were required to take two of the staff to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Police said at the time that a group of people had been denied entry and when staff tried to escort them out of the bar, things turned violent.

The Shiers, who are father and son, and Bonik will have pre-sentence reports done before their next court appearance on August 21 at which time they will likely be sentenced.

A fourth person, Jordan McDougall age 27, was also charged and previously entered guilty pleas. McDougall’s sentencing is set for July 8.
