
Men charged following N. Battleford gunshot incident
Two men from Red Pheasant Cree Nation are facing multiple charges after gunshots were heard near a home on 106th Street in North Battleford last week.
RCMP received the report at roughly 7:20 a.m. on June. 16 and upon arrival found a vehicle fleeing and officers conducted a traffic stop, but the vehicle sped past and was later found northwest of the city though it was abandoned.
According to police, the suspects were found by Saskatchewan RCMP Police Dog Services officers in a vehicle and after conducting a second traffic stop and investigation, three men and a woman were arrested.
Subsequently, a 19 and a 27-year-old have both been charged with one count of flight from peace officer, one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, one count of resists and obstruct peace officer and one count of discharge firearm while being reckless.
