
Charges laid in ML contraband bust
A search warrant on a home on First Street East in Meadow Lake has yielded a serious collection of contraband. On June 20, officers seized 74 grams of methamphetamine, more than 300 hydromorphone pills, three imitation firearms, a machete, counterfeit cash; and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
According to police, four people were arrested at the house, however, two were released without charges.
A 35-year-old Meadow Lake man has been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and one count of possession of counterfeit money.
He was scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on Monday, meanwhile, a woman also has a charge pending.
