Repeated church vandalism in Battleford sparks RCMP hunt for mischief-makers

Battlefords RCMP are investigating a string of vandalism incidents at a vacant church in the town of Battleford after windows were smashed and graffiti was sprayed on the building.
Police say they received three separate reports between early June 22 and June 23 about a group of individuals — possibly teenagers — damaging the building on 20th Street. Calls came in at 12:55 a.m. and 11:55 p.m. on Sunday, and again at 12:50 a.m. the next day.
Mounties responded each time, but no suspects were found.
Along with the smashed windows, investigators observed spray paint on the building’s exterior. RCMP say they are working to determine if the incidents are connected.
