Canada Day fun rolls in for North Battleford, Meadow Lake
Families in the Northwest can get ready for a full day of free fun as North Battleford and Meadow Lake gear up to celebrate Canada Day on July 1.
In North Battleford, the fun kicks off at the InnovationPlex at 11 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m. There will be free swimming all day at the Battleford CO-OP Aquatic Centre, plus bouncy castles, arts and crafts and giant lawn games for kids of all ages.
The Mudd Brothers Band will play live music from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rotary Plaza while volunteers fire up the grill for a classic BBQ — think hamburgers, hot dogs and chips.
For remote-control fans, remember to bring your whips as there’s an RC car race at 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot, with prizes for the fastest times.
