A 21-year-old man from Niagara Falls, Ontario is facing some very serious charges following a lengthy investigation by the Prince Albert Police Service Crime Reduction Team (CRT).

In June, the CRT began investigating a man believed to be trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine in the City of Prince Albert.

Through their investigation, CRT members obtained the evidence needed to arrest the man, which they did with the help of the Proactive Policing Unit on July 2 in the 3500 block of 2nd Ave. W.

A further search of the man, as well as a search warrant executed at a residence in the 1500 block of Olive Diefenbaker Drive resulted in the following seizures: 1,620 grams of methamphetamine, 453 grams of fentanyl, 34 grams of cocaine, $10,700 in Canadian currency, two cell phones, scales and other items consistent with drug trafficking.

As a result, 21-year-old Parteek Parteek has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5000.

Parteek made his first court appearance on Thursday and was remanded until Friday.
